Renting the Club
The Martha's Vineyard Rod & Gun Club is a popular location to have a function, party or wedding.
Members and non-members may rent the facility. The water views, sunsets and moonrises are spectacular.
The grounds can easily handle over 200 people with free parking for over 60 cars. The front lawn, which
can easily handle a 100' x 40' tent, has 6 large picnic tables with charcoal and gas barbeque grills.
The 1,700 square foot clubhouse offers a kitchen, gas range, refrigerator, freezer, large fireplace,
central heating, Direct TV, a VCR, stereo system, pool table and tables and chairs for 60 people.
Renters may add some of the club's activities to their function to make it an even more unique experience:
trap, skeet, fishing, archery, pistol, black powder, canoeing, kayaking, etc.
The list of organizations that have rented the club include Coca-Cola, Tele-Media, M.V.I. Insurance,
Orvis Fly Fishing School,
Martha's Vineyard Striped Bass & Bluefish Derby,
Coastal Conservation Association,
Martha's Vineyard Surfcasters Association,
Brazil Society of Martha's Vineyard, Edgartown Council on Aging,
Massachusetts Department of Fisheries and Wildlife,
Massachusetts Environmental Police,
Ramsey Outdoor Saltwater Fly Fishing School,
the Dark Woods Homeowners Association and many individuals for private functions.

Rental Rules and Regulations
- The Club will not be considered reserved until the total advance payment is received. Checks are to be made out to the Martha's Vineyard Rod & Gun Club.
- A Certificate of Liability Insurance must accompany the advance payment.
- Fees begin upon entering the property.
- Each guest entering the property of the Martha's Vineyard Rod & Gun Club must sign the Club's Release and Indemnity Agreement.
- Rental groups in excess of 25 people must pay for, bring in and remove a portable toilet.
- Should a tent be required the renter must pay for, bring in and remove the tent by 10:00 am the morning following the event.
- A security person must be hired and is paid by the Club. He must be a member of the Rod & Gun Club and may not be a participant in the function.
- No function may run past midnight.
- No loud music.
- Noise must be kept to a minimum.
- No nails, tacks, tape etc. are to be put into any walls.
- The renting party must clean the clubhouse and grounds by 10:00 am the morning following the event.
- The clubhouse and grounds must be left in the same condition in which they were found.
- The renting party must remove all trash and debris from the property.
- Should the clubhouse or grounds not be cleaned, and the Rod & Gun Club has to hire a cleaning crew, the cost of the cleaning crew will be deducted from the security deposit.
- Should the renting party utilize any club activities, i.e., trap, skeet, archery, firing range, etc., the renting party must pay for all items used, plus all necessary safety personnel, at the normal member or non-member rates. These payments must be made immediately following the conclusion of the activity.
- Any renter that wants to use the club as a last minute "back up" to their scheduled space must pay the 6-hour rental cost in advance.
- Before entering the property for the function, the "back up" renter must pay the balance of all fees including the security deposit, custodian fees, plus any additional hourly rental and custodian fees.
- If necessary, before entering the property, the renter must have a portable toilet brought to the club.
- Should another renter want to rent the club, at the same time as the "back-up" renter, and the new renter pays all the normal rental fees in advance, the "back-up" renter's contract is cancelled and any fees paid are returned.
